The roller coaster of temperatures should continue for the next few days

Wednesday Afternoon Temps

We've had a lot of ups and downs in temperature the past few days. A wintry start Monday, then nearing 80 Wednesday. But, that is followed by another cooling trend Thursday!

WARM & WINDY WEDNESDAY

The combination of sunshine and a southerly breeze should allow temperatures to reach the upper 70s and even near 80 by Wednesday Afternoon. A gusty wind at times with that southwesterly wind at 10-20mph and gusts above 25 during the afternoon.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT COLD FRONT

That southwesterly breeze will be increasing due to an approaching cold front. This front should not be a big rain maker at all locally. Just a few passing light showers are possible late Wednesday Evening and Overnight. Mild temperatures during the evening with 60s, but then cooling to the upper 40s by Thursday Morning.

WINDY AND MUCH COOLER THURSDAY

Temperatures on Thursday Afternoon could be about 20 degrees LOWER than Wednesday. A brisk northwesterly wind should dry us out, clear the sky, but also cool us off. Morning temperatures in the 40s, then staying in the 50s through the afternoon. Our 7 day forecast shows a high of 60 Thursday, which temperatures could briefly reach that mark. But, please know that most of the day will be in the 50s and feeling even cooler due to the wind. Temperatures Thursday Night and Friday Morning could drop back into the 30s.

WARMER FRIDAY AND SATURDAY AFTERNOON

The ups and downs continue! After a chilly start Friday, afternoon highs should recover to the upper 60s and near 70 by Friday Afternoon. Another cool start Saturday in the low 40s, then near 70 by the afternoon under a partly sunny sky.

NEXT RAIN CHANCE

Clouds should move in for Sunday with highs mainly in the 60s. A few showers might sneak in before sunset Sunday. But, the better rain chances locally appears to be Sunday Night and through Monday. Some thundershowers are possible though the risk of any severe weather remains low at this time. An early look at rainfall projections has the GFS model projecting around 0.60", while the European model favors around 1.30". We'll continue to watch these trends in the days ahead and keep you updated!
