Stay Weather Aware Thursday as a cold front moves through
An approaching cold front could create some strong wind gusts and bring some heavy downpours locally on Thursday. The StormTrack 9 Team will keep you Weather Aware as the front moves through!
STAY WEATHER AWARE THURSDAY
An increasing breeze from the south through the early morning hours of Thursday. Gusts up to 25mph and higher, especially at higher elevations through the predawn hours. Gusts from 20-30mph could again occur from Thursday Morning and into the Afternoon ahead of the main cold front and approaching line of showers and storms.
A slow moving line of showers and storms could move into our western viewing area by mid to late morning. Then, that line should move slowly east through Midday and Afternoon. It is at this time frame where some thunderstorms could occur as well. For now, the risk of severe storms remains very low with the better chance to our south. But, as always, the StormTrack 9 Team will be monitoring the radar and conditions as that line approaches!
Rainfall could be heavy at times as well with many areas locally receiving up to 1" on average. Some areas south could have up to 1.25" and of course a few isolated higher totals with some isolated heavier downpours. The heaviest of showers should push east by early evening. But, some occasional showers could still occur through Thursday Night, though not as widespread or as heavy.
A cloudy and cool day Friday with daytime temperatures remaining in the 50s. There could still be some pockets of light showers and drizzle moving from west to east during the morning and into the afternoon. Any amounts remain light at only 0.10" or less. Most of the raindrops ending to the east late day and early evening.
A BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND AHEAD
Beautiful Fall weather for the first weekend of November! A partly sunny sky both Saturday and Sunday. Chilly mornings from the upper 30s to lower 40s. Afternoon highs on Saturday in the upper 50s to near 60. A tad warmer on Sunday with afternoon highs approaching the mid 60s.
RAINY ELECTION DAY
A wet weather pattern could return just in time for Election Day Tuesday. While a few scattered showers could occur on Monday, the better chance for heavy downpours and a few storms could occur on Tuesday. Early forecast model rainfall projections show the possibility of between 1" to 1,50" possible on Election Day.
As always, you can depend on the StormTrack 9 Team to keep you updated!
