Scattered showers & t-showers possible Saturday
A sunny warm work week gives way to some showers and t-showers possible on Saturday to start the weekned
A weakening cool front should move through the Tennessee Valley during the day Saturday. The weather pattern does not appear to be that of an all day washout. Instead, a cloudy sky and showers and t-showers from time to time. While there could be some of those scattered showers around during the morning, the better coverage of showers and t-showers could be during the afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures on average through the afternoon could reach the mid/upper 70s. However, the northern part of our viewing area could stay below the mid 70s, while areas around Chattanooga and south could reach the 80s as the showers might hold off longer. A few thunderstorms are possible late day and evening, but at this time the risk of severe storms remains very low at this time.
Showers continue off and on Saturday Night then taper off by very early Sunday Morning. Rainfall amounts do not appear to be excessive with forecast model averages around 0.25" to 0.50"
After a few very early showers Sunday, clouds should break away through the afternoon. So, some sun Sunday Afternoon and temperatures in the upper 70s.
SLIGHT SHOWER CHANCES TO START THE WEEK
Monday and Tuesday both should have a mix of sun and clouds with afternoon highs from the upper 70s to near 80. Slight afternoon shower chances both days, but again, not the all day variety of rain. A more widespread chance for rain could return by late Wednesday and into Thursday.
