Periods of sun and periods of storms this weekend
A hot and humid first weekend of Summer. But, some scattered strong storms could move by at times!
SUMMER HEAT, HUMIDITY AND POSSIBLE STORMS
Saturday morning cloud cover giving way to a partly sunny sky. Very humid along with temperatures reaching the upper 80s to near 90. However, we could have another round of strong to severe storms at times from Midday and again late Afternoon and Evening. So, periods of sun and periods of storms. The Storm Prediction Center has our viewing area in the "Slight Risk" for severe storms. This means that some storms could produce damaging wind gusts along with the threat of heavy rain and frequent lightning. Away from any storms, just hot and humid. Storms should taper through the evening.
Sunday looks more like a typical summer day...partly sunny, hot, humid and still some afternoon storms. Afternoon highs near 90, but feeling hotter due to the elevated humidity!
As always, you can depend on the StormTrack 9 Team for updates!
