A warm November weekend, but colder air returns next week

A warm weekend for outdoor activities and observing the Fall foliage! But, enjoy the warm temperatures while they last, then next cold snap could move in toward the middle of next week.

Compared to the chill of last weekend, this first weekend of November will be quite warm. A strong southerly flow will dominate the Southeastern US and keep temperatures well above average.

Saturday Morning temperatures should only drop into the upper 50s to lower 60s. Cloudy for most of the day, but some peeks of sun at times. There is still the chance for some occasional showers moving through, but not the all day variety. So, there could be some interruptions to outdoor activities at times, but not all day. Afternoon highs should average in the mid 70s, almost 10 degrees above average.

Sunday could be warmer if more sun peeks through the clouds, Only a slight chance for a shower. Expect morning temperatures in the upper 50s to near 60 along with patchy fog. By the afternoon, temperatures should average in the mid 70s, but coudl near 80 with some added sunshine.

The warmer than average temperatures should continue through at least early next week.

As mentioned above, temperatures should remain above average through at least Tuesday. Still warm and humid under a partly sunny sky Monday. Meantime, some scattered showers could occur Tuesday Afternoon, but still warm in the lower 70s. The better chance for showers should be on Wednesday and gradually turning cooler with highs dropping to the low/mid 60s. Showers should continue into Thursday and even cooler air moves in. Temperatures should gradually fall throughout the day and only reach the 50s for highs.

So, if you like warm weather, enjoy the next few days! More typical November weather returns next week!

Even though it is November, expect a warm Saturday for college football!

A few showers could occur for tailgating in Knoxville and again during the game, but otherwise cloudy with 70s pregame and 60s during the evening game. Same thing for UGA in Athens Saturday Afternoon. 70s pregame with a passing shower, then upper 60s by the early evening.

The Mocs are in Spartanburg, Sc for an early afternoon game against Wofford. Cloudy and warm with a few passing showers and game time temperatures around 70.

As always, you can depend on the StormTrack 9 Team for updates!
