Becoming cloudy Thursday Night. Some showers and a few storms could arrive during overnight hours, otherwise remaining cloudy. Partly to mostly cloudy for most of the day Friday. Some showers/storms are possible during the morning, and a better coverage area wide could occur during the afternoon and into the evening. So, while not an all day rainy day, keep an umbrella close by.

The overall risk of severe storms remain low at this time. The Storm Prediction Center has outlined the southern half of our viewing area in the lowest severe category of "Marginal" for Friday. The chance for strong to any severe storms could occur during the afternoon and evening. And, we'll keep an eye on that possible earlier round of showers and storms north Thursday Night. Overall rainfall amounts do not look heavy. Some isolated storms could drop over an inch. But, the overall average projections from forecast models is around 0.50" through early Saturday. Should repetitive storms move through some locations, the rainfall amounts could be heavier during the afternoon and evening.

Showers and some storms should continue through Friday Night, then tapering off early Saturday Morning.

As mentioned above, some lingering light showers are possible Saturday Morning. That chance appears to quickly end to the east through the course of the morning. By midday and the afternoon, it looks like drier conditions could return. Afternoon temperatures a little cooler than the 80s we've had lately with Saturday Afternoon highs in the mid 70s.

Clearing and a little cooler Saturday Night and Sunday Morning with lows in the lower 50s (some 40s possible north and east. Mother's Day looks sunny and very nice with afternoon highs in the upper 70s to near 80.

Dry and very warm weather should continue into the first half of next week. Afternoon highs averaging in the mid/upper 80s.

As always, you can depend on the StormTrack 9 Team for updates!
