Maggie Weaver

Maggie Weaver is excited to be the anchor for Good Morning Chattanooga at 6 a.m. & 8 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

Maggie first joined the NewsChannel 9 family in October of 2022 as a producer. She is now proud to use both of her skills to produce and anchor the weekend morning shows herself.

Maggie is originally from Jackson, Tennessee, but she has lived in Chattanooga since 2018. Maggie attended the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she double-majored and graduated with two Bachelors of Arts degrees in theatre and communications. Maggie was also trained in vocal performance for 12 years and throughout college, so she has a love and appreciation for all types of music.

Maggie says her love for journalism blossomed thanks to the wonderful professors and engaging courses at UTC. Her favorite course, Rising Rock, developed her love for meeting many different faces in the community, hearing their stories, and capturing raw emotion with creative photography. She is forever grateful for the opportunity to continue pursing those stories and start her career in journalism with the NewsChannel 9 family.

Maggie was also involved in the Chi Omega sorority at UTC, where it was important to her to spend time fundraising for Make-A-Wish and St. Jude Children's Hospital.

When she's not working, you can find Maggie traveling, singing, playing pickle ball, gardening, taking photos, or hiking the beautiful mountains surrounding Chattanooga.
