Lexie Horvath

Lexie Horvath joined the NewsChannel 9 family in June of 2023 as the newest meteorologist and multimedia journalist. Tennessee was the perfect spot with dozens of surrounding coffee shops, restaurants and sights to see!

Meteorology has always been in Lexie's blood. Since the age of six, she was known for giving her “weather reports” to family and friends before everyone headed off to work and school. She fondly remembers her parents saying, “Meet our daughter Lexie, Future Meteorologist”.

Lexie graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor's Degree in Meteorology and a minor in Geography. She was a member of the Meteorology Honors Society, Chi Omega sorority, and broadcast the weather forecasts for Blacksburg’s WUVT 90.7 FM radio station.

Lexie grew up in Marietta, Georgia and is a superfan of the Atlanta Braves. In her spare time, she can be found attending Barre workout classes, baking, hosting gatherings at her house, making jewelry, and spending time with her friends and family.

Lexie is proud to inspire young girls into the STEM field.
