Will Vols receivers impact quarterback battle in Orange and White game?

The Orange and White game Saturday brings the Tennessee Vols spring practice session to an end.

It has been a time for players to improve through constant repetitions.

In Knoxville, the focus has been on the quarterback battle.

Earlier this week, offensive coordinator Larry Scott said the decision between Quentin Dormady and Jarrett Guarantano will likely stretch into the summer or even fall.

But what about the receivers who will catch their passes?

Without question, Juan Jennings is the leader of that group.

It's a unit that has grown acclimated to new position coach Kevin Beard.

He's 36 years old and played receiver for the Miami Hurricanes.

He can relate with his players.

"I'm them. I'm just an older version of them. Once you get on their level, and they see you are able to get on their level, they can trust you, they can lower their guard down," Beard said.

The Orange and White game is at 4pm Saturday and will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
