The University of Georgia will welcome a new Uga mascot for the 2023 season.

The Georgia football team will introduce Boom, a 10-month-old English Bulldog, as Uga XI on Saturday at its G-Day spring football game in Sanford Stadium.

Boom's ceremonial collaring will start at around 3:50 p.m. Saturday on the 20-yard line of Sanford Stadium. Fans are encouraged to arrive to the spring game early to watch the ceremony.

Savannah's own Uga X, affectionately known as 'Que,' is retiring as the winningest mascot in Georgia history.

Que was two-and-a-half years old when he became Georgia's beloved mascot in 2015.

The Bulldogs won back-to-back National Championships under his reign, as well as two SEC titles and victories in the Rose, Sugar, Orange, and Peach Bowls.
