WASHINGTON (SBG) - A public art project to help survivors of rape and intimate partner violence was unveiled on the National Mall in Washington, DC on Friday afternoon.
The Monument Quilt is a project of Force: Upsetting the Rape Culture that is based out of Baltimore, Maryland.
The quilt, made out of 3,000 squares, provides public support for victims and gives them a safe space to tell their story. It will be available for the public to see on the National Mall until June 2.
