Woman charged in home invasion, shooting man on Central Avenue in Chattanooga

Chattanooga police have arrested a woman they say shot a man, sending him to the hospital.

Police say the shooting happened around 12:36 a.m. on the 500 block of Central Avenue on June 7.

Once on the scene, police found 38-year-old Miguel Doriste suffering from a gunshot wound.

Doriste was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Friday, Chattanooga police spokesperson Elisa Myzal announced officers arrested 21-year-old Autumn Gibson as a suspect in the June incident.

Gibson has been charged with attempted criminal homicide and especially aggravated robbery.
