Water Main Break Causes Rush-Hour Sinkhole, Damaging Cars
Chattanooga Public Works crews were on the scene of a sinkhole that caused major problems for drivers during Tuesday morning's rush hour.
This happened near the corner of the 600 block of North Holtzclaw Avenue and East 3rd Street, across from the Mapco gas station.
The sinkhole is believed to be caused by a water main break.
There were several reports of flat tires by motorists who drove through the sinkhole, not realizing its depth.
Chattanooga Police are now directing drivers away from the sinkhole.
