Van in statewide Tennessee Amber Alert found abandoned, teen & suspect missing
UPDATE (11/10): Haley Brandenburg was found in Henry County, GA, and is safe, according to the TBI Saturday morning. They say Robert Garren is in custody.
The vehicle believed to be involved in a statewide Tennessee Amber Alert has been located.
Haley Brandenburg, 17, is missing from Rockwood, Tennessee. She’s believed to be with Robert Garren, 31. He’s wanted for criminal charges relating to her disappearance.
The two were believed to be traveling in a beige 2006 Honda Odyssey with Tennessee tag 240-KZS. Rockwood Police and the Roane County Sheriff's Office told FOX 17 News that the vehicle was found abandoned in a parking lot in Chattanooga. TBI said it doesn't believe the pair had any help and is thought to be in the Hamilton County area.
An employee at a periodontics office on Riverfront Parkway said she noticed the van in the business parking lot on Monday night. She says the van had a brick through the passenger window laying on the driver’s seat and one of the front tires was slashed multiple times.
Meanwhile, WTVC has learned Garren's mother lives in McMinn County. The McMinn County sheriff says his office assisted the TBI in a visit with her but says "he's not been there since before the abduction."
Bradenburg was last seen wearing tan Adidas pants with a pink stripe and a green Subway shirt. She stands at 5'5" and weighs 120 lbs. She was wearing glasses and has braces.
Investigators say she has medical issues and have reason to believe she does not have her medicine with her.
Anyone with information on Bradenburg’s whereabouts should call 1-800-TBI-Find.
