Two Walker Co. deputies arrested, charged with agg. assault, attempted rape
Two Walker County deputies are under arrest, facing serious charges after a report of attempted sexual assault.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Fort Oglethorpe Police Department arrested 40-year-old Brandon England (above, left) and 36-year-old Shawn Norris (above, right) Tuesday after a woman reported the two had tried to sexually assault her over the weekend.
England and Norris were booked into the Catoosa County Jail without incident Tuesday.
The two have been charged with aggravated assault, criminal attempt to rape, and false imprisonment.

Two Walker County sheriff's deputies are on leave as authorities investigate a report that they trying to sexually assault a woman over the weekend.
Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson says it happened late Saturday night when a woman dating one of the deputies went with him to another deputy's apartment in Fort Oglethorpe.
Sheriff Wilson says that at some point, the woman left the apartment and reported to Fort Oglethorpe police that the off-duty deputies had tried to sexually abuse her.
Fort Oglethorpe police requested help from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation in the case. The GBI are now leading the investigation.
We reached out to the GBI for more information. They responded, "At this point, we are not in a position to release specifics due to the ongoing investigation."
Sheriff Wilson has not named the deputies in the investigation or the specific charges investigators are considering, but says they are on paid administrative leave.
