Two teens charged with murder in Fannin County
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) says two 15-year-olds face murder charges in Fannin County for the death of a 33-year-old man.
The GBI says the incident happened early Tuesday morning at a home in Morganton.
Officers were called to the scene after getting a 911 call from a woman saying she and another man had been shot.
When deputies arrived, they found Justin McKinney dead, and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
Later in the day, Fannin County deputies arrested Black Dickey (aka Blake Dye) and Hunter Hill, both of Blairsville, and charged each with one count of murder. The GBI says more charges are pending.
Dye and Hill are now at the Elbert Shaw Regional Youth Detention Center.
McKinney’s autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
The GBI says upon completion of the investigation, the case will be provided to the Appalachian Judicial Circuit District Attorney for prosecution.
