Firefighters' use of water caused the road in front of the house to freeze over, and they had to call in TDOT crews to salt the road.

This was the second time in 3 days TDOT crews were called upon to help de-Ice the roads following a fire.

TDOT says that they do not track whether a call is for fire or bad weather.

Chief Todd Brown from the Whitwell Fire Department says his crews have to be ready for anything in these cold weather fires.

Crews returned to the scene later in the morning to investigate the fire's cause.

Depend on us to bring you more details as we get them.
