Two Chattanooga families displaced by Thursday night fire
No word on what caused a fire that's left two families in Chattanooga without a home.
In a release, the Chattanooga Fire Department says no injuries were reported in connection with a duplex fire Thursday night.
CFD received the alarm shortly before 9:00 p.m. and responded with several fire companies to 727 Woodmore Lane.
Captain Kevin Carpenter said the firefighters were able to get the fire under control quickly. However, there was enough damage to displace two families.
Volunteers with the American Red Cross were called in to provide assistance to the residents affected by the fire.
An estimate on the dollar loss was not available. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
