Tennessee experiencing widespread, high levels of flu-like illnesses
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) -Tennessee is now experiencing high levels of influenza-like illness and it is widespread across the state according to the newest data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
According to data for the week ending on November 30, the CDC reports Tennessee and 11 other states are among those showing high levels of influenza-like illnesses.
The Tennessee Department of Health's latest report which reflects the week ending November 23 shows the percentage of patients visiting clinics with ILI is 3.87%, well above the CDC's baseline rate of 2.4%.
Chattanooga, Memphis, and the southeast region of the state each are reporting higher levels of ILI compared to other areas.
