Teen found guilty of murder in 2018 Chattanooga shooting

This week, a teenager was found guilty of second degree murder for a 2018 shooting in Chattanooga.

On October 4, Chattanooga Police responded to 510 N. Kelley Street, where they found 18-year-old Iziyah Spence, shot in the head. He was taken to the hospital, but passed away.

Police later confirmed that the shooting happened on the 2000 block of Portland Street.

According to the District Attorney's Office, Ja'Mond Moorer was found guilty of the crime.

He was 14 at the time of the shooting, and is now 15.

This week, Moorer was found guilty of second degree murder in Juvenile Court.

The DA's Office says Moorer will be in juvenile detention until his 19th birthday - the maximum sentence for the crime.
