TBI investigating former Rhea Co. deputy accused of sexual conduct with underage student
A former Rhea County Sheriff's deputy has been accused of inappropriate sexual conduct with an underage high schooler, and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is now involved.
According to District Attorney General Mike Taylor, the man at the center of the investigation was a deputy, but has been fired in light of the allegation.
The TBI confirmed Taylor requested they investigate the matter.
Taylor says charges have not yet been filed in the case.
Authorities haven't identified the man.
