Tanker catches fire on Highway 153
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A tanker caught fire in the northbound lanes of Highway 153 Friday morning, a little after 9 a.m.
It's unclear if anyone was hurt. NewsChannel 9 has a crew on the way to the scene.
NewsChannel 9 viewer Joey Scargill was very close to the scene as the flames raged, and went live on Facebook:
The video shows the flames raging, shortly before firefighters got the flames under control.
An officer on the scene can be heard saying that everyone got out of the tanker safely.

The fire was under control as of 10:30, but was still causing traffic problems.
Later in the morning the Chattanooga Fire Department posted about the incident on its Facebook page.
