
CATOOSA COUNTY, Ga. — UPDATE (Wednesday):
Lake Winnepesaukah officials told us on Wednesday that they have finished their investigation.
Upon examination, inspectors found no evidence of malfunction or faulty equipment,' the park says.

A teen employee at the Lake Winnepesaukah amusement park in Catoosa County was hurt after an 'operator issue' with one of the rides Tuesday afternoon.
The park told us in an email
There was an operator issue involving the Wave Swinger this afternoon. No guests were affected. The employee was injured and has received medical attention. We have shared this information with the State of Georgia.
A spokesman from the Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commission office confirms that, saying they had just received a report of the accident at the park.
Catoosa County Spokesman John Pless told us in a text message
Fire, EMS and law enforcement responded to a 16-year-old female who was possibly "tossed" from a ride and landed in the water.
Pless adds the incident happened after 2 p.m. Tuesday, and deferred more details to law enforcement and fire officials.
Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk told us in an email that this will not be a law enforcement investigation.
