Single mother of 3 children with special needs pleads for the return of her stolen car
An Athens woman says someone stole the car her family relies on.
Karey Morgan, a newly-single mother of three children with special needs asks, "Who would take a car from a family with three special needs kids?"
She says each of her sons live with cognitive disabilities ranging from Asperger to Autism.
She has a sticker on her Gray 2016 Honda Odyssey as a warning for emergency officials about how her youngest son may react.
Karey says, knowing that, that sticker was on the vehicle along with special needs car seats, cognitive toys, children's jackets and sparing gear makes her wonder who would steal the vehicle.
She says, "It aggravates me to think that there are heartless people out there that would steal something so valuable from a family that needed it so bad."
Karey followed up with her car loan lender and she says they informed her it was not repossessed.
We called the designated tow company for her apartment complex and they say they don't have that vehicle.
She's asking people with tips to contact the Athens City Police Department.
