Sheriff's Office: 2 Silverdale inmates return from hospital after stabbing Tuesday night
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says two inmates at Silverdale Correctional Facility have returned after a stabbing in which three were injured Tuesday night.
According to HCSO spokesman Matt Lea, the two inmates hospitalized both experienced non-life threatening injuries.
Lea says the other inmate was treated onsite by Core Civic personnel with what appeared to be "puncture marks made by a weapon resembling that of a shank."
The incident is under active investigation. The HCSO says that due to security reasons, the names of the inmates are not being released.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's department says a stabbing happened at Silverdale Detentions Facilities Tuesday night.
A preliminary investigation showed two inmates were taken to a hospital.
Another inmate was treated onsite, with what appeared to be "puncture marks made by a weapon resembling that of a shank."
The sheriff's office say they don't know the extent of the injuries for the inmates at this time.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division is investigating.
They say they no further details are available at this time.
