CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — UPDATE (5:29 p.m.):
We received the following from the Chattanooga Police Department in regards to the shooting this morning:
Available Details: On July 28, 2019 at approximately 3:23 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the 1400 block of East 28th Street on a report of two persons shot.
Upon arrival, Police located a male and female suffering from gunshot wounds.
Hamilton County EMS pronounced the female dead on scene and transported the male to a local hospital.
Officers secured the scene and called for the CPD Violent Crimes Bureau to respond.
Investigators obtained information that confirmed the identity of the suspect as Paul Kulikowski.
Hamilton County Dispatch advised they were notified by a party that the suspect confessed to the shootings and was threatening suicide at an address in the 4300 block of Kemp Drive.
The CPD SWAT Team responded, and after a short standoff found the suspect dead from apparent self-inflicted gunshot wounds.

Adrienne Puckett has lived on the 1400 block of E 28th St. for 12 years. She says she often housed and took care of Audrey Albritton.
"She was laying face down on the ground," says Puckett, who was a witness. "We got to her and turned her over and saw that she'd been shot twice. I checked her pulse, and she had none and she was cold."
Other neighbors and friends are mourning, including Catrina Cabe of Cry for the Broken outreach -- who says Albritton was so much more than just someone with a troubled history.
"She was not just a former prostitute -- she was full of love and full of gratitude," says Cabe, who says she herself is a former prostitute as well. "She loved seeing us, and she loved us praying for her."

Chattanooga Police say one woman is dead and a man was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds after a shooting on East 28th Street.
No suspects or victims are being named at this time.
ORIGINALLY:
Chattanooga Police are investigating a shooting that sent two people to the hospital early Sunday morning.
Police say it happened just before 4 a.m. on the 1400 block of East 28th Street.
It's unclear the condition of the two people injured.
