Sheriff: 2 students cited to court after fight at Grundy County High School Wednesday
The Grundy County Sheriff's Office says deputies
arrested cited two students after a fight at the high school Wednesday morning. (Editor's Note: Sheriff Clint Shrum has clarified his prior statement, saying the two students were cited to court, not arrested.)
According to Sheriff Clint Shrum, one student was cited for assault after punching a student in the cafeteria.
Another has been cited for recording the fight -- which shows other juveniles -- and posting it on social media.
The victim was not charged.
Sheriff Shrum says other students could face charges for luring the victim to the fight.
According to the sheriff, teachers were in the cafeteria, but a fellow student broke up the fight before they got there.
