Rossville Police officers save cat from its own curiosity
ROSSVILLE, Ga. —
Curiosity didn't kill this cat, but it sure did put him in a pickle. Or rather, more literally, a can.
A post on the Rossville Fire/Police Department's Facebook page says officers on Thursday were called to rescue a cat who had gotten its head stuck in a can.
The post says, "With a little elbow grease and persistence, officers where able to free the cat and send it on its way."
The post goes on to share a message for everyone:
...We would like to take the time to remind everyone that we have to share our community with animals both wild and domestic.
PLEASE don’t litter and help us keep our community safe and clean.
“OCGA 16-7-43. Littering public or private property....
(a) It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to dump, deposit, throw, or leave or to cause or permit the dumping, depositing, placing, throwing, or leaving of litter on any public or private property in this state....”
Make sure your trash cans are secured and can’t be accessed by animals.
When possible, please recycle
NEVER throw trash from your vehicle. Almost every service station has a public trash can.
Once again, together we can keep our community clean ??"
