White House officials say President Trump has nominated Chattanooga native William B. Kilbride to be a member of the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA).

Kilbride formerly served as the president and CEO of the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce and as president and chief sustainability officer of Mohawk Industries.

Tennessee State Senator Lamar Alexander says, "I know his strategic leadership will be a valuable asset to the TVA board. I am glad President Trump nominated him, and I look forward to his confirmation by the Senate."

Kilbride's term will run until May 18, 2023. He will replace Eric Martin Satz.
