Pilot injured in Dayton plane crash

The National Transportation Safety Board, Federal Aviation Administration, and local authorities are investigating a plane crash in Rhea County Monday.

One person was injured, according to the dispatcher. His injuries are still unclear.

The pilot was flying a Rockwell International 112A aircraft from Illinois to Atlanta.

The dispatcher says the crash site is at 1725 Walkertown Road in Dayton. A Google Maps search of the address shows it appears to be a home with a large front yard.

Nearby Mark Anton Airport confirms to NewsChannel 9 the plane was not scheduled to land there today.
