BRADLEY COUNTY, Tenn. — Bradley County deputies are investigating a crash on Highway 64 near Cherokee Drive on Sunday.
Spokesperson James Bradford says it involves a car and truck and one person has been flown by Lifeforce to Erlanger. It's unclear if anyone else was hurt.
Later on Monday morning, we received more information in a crash report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP).
The report says a 1998 Saturn driven by 47-year-old Lisa Stafford of Cleveland was stopped at the intersection. A 2003 Chevy driven by 58-year-old Johnny R. Reynolds was heading westbound on Highway 64. The THP says Stafford pulled out in front of Reynolds' car, causing Reynolds' car to t-bone Stafford's car in the drivers side door. Stafford was rushed to the hospital, where she later died of her injuries. Reynolds was also injured, but not as seriously.
The THP is not issuing any citations or filing charges against Reynolds.
