Update: HCSO locates second driver who may have hit pedestrian in Sale Creek Wednesday

UPDATE (Friday 2:38 p.m.):

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) says it has located a second driver who may have hit a pedestrian on Dayton Pike in Sale Creek Wednesday night.

HCSO spokesman Matt Lea says witnesses told officers after the victim, Becky Breedlove, was first hit by a vehicle in the fast lane, a second vehicle following behind the first vehicle in the slow lane may have also struck Breedlove accidentally.

No charges have been filed in this incident so far.

UPDATE (Friday 12:30 p.m.):

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) now says a second vehicle also came into contact with the victim, Becky Breedlove, shortly after she was struck by the first vehicle. Officers are wanting to talk with the woman who was driving.

HCSO spokesman Matt Lea says witnesses told officers after Breedlove was first hit by a vehicle in the fast lane, a second vehicle following behind the first vehicle in the slow lane may have also struck Breedlove accidentally.

Other witnesses told investigators the driver of the second vehicle stopped at the scene, spoke to the parties involved in the initial accident, and then drove off.

The second alleged vehicle involved in this incident is described as a newer model Volkswagen or Kia, four door car, white in color, with black trim or stripe on the rear of the vehicle. According to witnesses, the alleged vehicle was being operated by a white female, possibly in her 20’s, with brown hair.

HCSO Traffic Investigators are asking that if anyone has any information regarding this vehicle, its whereabouts, or the name of the driver, to please come forward so as to help establish the timeline of events, clarify witness testimony, and to aid in the complete investigation of this incident.

Lea says no one has been charged in the crash at this point.

PREVIOUSLY:

Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating a woman who was struck and killed in Sale Creek late Wednesday night.

A spokesperson with HCSO tells us that deputies responded to the 14,500 block of Dayton Pike just before 11 p.m. Wednesday.

When deputies arrived, they found Becky Breedlove deceased at the scene.

We're told investigators believe Breedlove was walking out of Fuzzy's Bar when she was hit.

HCSO is now investigating the incident.
