Overturned semi temporarily closes Interstate 24 Thursday morning
The interstate fully reopened at 9:30 a.m.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says at about 4 a.m., officers responded to a report of an overturned tractor trailer with entrapment.
Firefighters were able to free the driver from the vehicle, and he was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The truck was carrying a paint thinner solvent, but luckily nothing leaked out.
An overturned tractor trailer closed part of Interstate 24 early Thursday morning.
The crash blocked all lanes for a brief time. As of 5:45 a.m., one lane was open, and crews estimate the interstate will completely reopen by 9:30 a.m.
People are asked to seek an alternate route.
