Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk says a 37-year-old man faces murder charges in connection with a deadly shooting that happened in Rossville Sunday morning.

Sisk says someone called 911 about a shooting just after 9 a.m. Sunday, and deputies rushed to the scene, a home at 218 Steele Road.

The 911 caller advised that the shooter was still inside the home.

Sisk says when deputies arrived, the suspect, Bounmy Manhrasamy, exited the home and surrendered.

Inside the home, deputies found 70-year-old Somvang Vorachak with a gunshot wound to the chest. He later died.

Sisk says Manhrasamy and Vorachak, who were nephew and uncle, respectively, were having an argument when the shooting happened. Both men had lived together.

Manhrasamy now faces murder charges, and is also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

He's now in the Catoosa County Jail, being held without bond until his first court appearance.
