Chattanooga attorney Robin Flores tells NewsChannel 9 he plans to file a lawsuit against the city of Chattanooga.
Flores says his client, Nancy Lee Mason, was tased while in the Hamilton County Jail in March of 2015. Flores says the incident was caught on video.
Flores says Mason was arrested by Chattanooga Police officer Greg Tate.
While being booking in the jail, Flores says Mason was cooperating with officers, until she refused to take off her jewelry.
Flores says Hamilton County Sgt. Rodney Terrell continued to tell Mason to remove her jewelry, then without warning, Flores say he tased her.
Flores says Mason fell to the ground and injured her right wrist. He says 5 deputies watched but did not help her.
Flores say Mason continues to get care for her injuries that day, and he plans on filing his lawsuit Thursday.
