Man shot on Hixson Pike Friday evening, Hamilton Co. deputies questioning suspect
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office has identified James Jones as the suspect in a Friday shooting on Hixson Pike.
According to the arrest affidavit, Jones was "located and detained on scene."
The affidavit goes on to say deputies found and "seized a 25 caliber colt semi-automatic pistol on scene."
Jones has been arrested and charged with Attempted 2nd Degree Murder and Felon in possession of a firearm.
The Sheriff's Office also identified the victim as Timothy Poole.
No word on his condition at this time.
A man has been taken to the hospital after being shot on Hixson Pike Friday evening.
Hamilton County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to the 7500 block of Hixson Pike around 7:45 p.m.
Once there, deputies found a man had been shot. HCSO spokesman Matt Lea says the injury did not appear to be life threatening.
Deputies have detained a suspect for questioning in connection to the incident.
Investigators say this appears to have been a domestic situation, and that there is no danger to the public or residents nearby.
