CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A man faces charges in Chattanooga after police say he took a construction truck by force and later led authorities on a chase up Interstate 75 early Friday morning.
Chattanooga Police say the incident happened at about 1:30 a.m. on Highway 58.
A CPD release says a construction worker told officers he was sitting in his truck at the construction site when a man opened his door and pulled him from the truck.
After a struggle, the suspect, later identified as Dustin Prichett, drove off.
Police began a chase after the stolen truck, which led officers up Interstate 75.
That chase ended after officers laid stop sticks along the interstate.
Police say Prichett faces several charges, including DUI.
