Hamilton Co. Sheriff's deputies involved in two chases Wednesday morning

Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) personnel were involved in two separate vehicle pursuits that ended on Interstate 75 early Wednesday morning.

HCSO spokesman Matt Lea says the first pursuit happened around 1:45 a.m. near the 300 block of Interstate 75. The pursuit involved a stolen vehicle. The vehicle crashed into a dividing wall and came to a stop. No one was hurt. Lea says there were five people in the vehicle, all of which were taken into custody. All five suspects are juveniles.

The second pursuit happened around 5:45 a.m. near the 1330 block of Interstate 75. Lea says this pursuit also involved a stolen vehicle which resulted in a crash with no injuries. The vehicle contained three subjects, all of which were adults and were taken into custody by Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office personnel. The names of the three suspects are not being released at this time.

Lea says both of these vehicle pursuits and the circumstances surrounding them remain under investigation.
