Funeral service to be held Wednesday for Dade County HS senior killed in crash
Funeral arrangements have been made for Alexis 'Lexi' Moore, a 17-year-old Dade County High School senior who passed away last week.
On Thursday, October 3, Lexi lost her life in a car crash in Trenton, Georgia. Two other seniors were also injured in the crash.
That next night, Dade County High named her their honorary homecoming queen.
Lexi was a senior, a member of the color guard, and a dedicated student. Her obituary says she was an avid reader, and wanted to study Forensic Pathology at George Mason University.
"She was really vivacious. You never saw her give up. You know life would throw some sour lemons at her, she would keep rolling no matter what. She was always ready to go," said Heather Chance, Lexi's Assistant Band Director.
"The days, weeks, and months ahead will understandably be hard, and even unbearable to some. All we can do is be here for each other," said Dade County Sheriff Ray Cross in a statement.
A visitation for Lexi's will be held from 12 to 2 p.m. at Trenton First Baptist Church Wednesday. The service will begin at 2 p.m. at the church. You can see her full obituary here.
