Four people dead after car drives off boat landing in Cherokee County, Alabama

The Cherokee County Coroner tells ABC 33/40 that the bodies of four people have been recovered after a car they were riding in drove off a boat landing and into the Coosa River, in Leesburg, Tuesday evening.

The condition of the two people transported to the hospital is not known at this time.

Authorities identified the victims in a news conference Wednesday morning:


One person was still missing as of Wednesday morning;

Crews resumed their search on Wednesday morning, but still have not found the remaining missing man.
