Former Catoosa County elementary teacher and her husband killed in Florida crash

A woman who taught 2nd Grade students for 25 years at a local school was killed in a car crash in Florida Thursday.

Susan Morris taught at Graysville Elementary School in Catoosa County before retiring in 2009.

On Friday, Homestead police detective Fernando Morales confirmed with NewsChannel 9 that Susan Morris and her husband Johnny had been killed in a car crash involving a Florida Power & Light truck.

Miami-Dade fire & rescue officials told WSVN in Miami that the crash happened near Southwest 328th Street and 137th Avenue just before 10 a.m.
