Fire causes $30,000 damage at Ooltewah home Thursday
The Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department says a fire that damaged a basement bedroom Thursday morning appears to be accidental.
The fire broke out at about 9:15 a.m. at 9200 Cobblestone Hill Drive in Ooltewah.
Upon arrival, firefighter's reported heavy smoke coming from the basement area of the home.
Firefighters contained the fire to the basement bedroom area of the structure.
There were 3 occupants at home at the time of the fire, but no one was hurt.
The home was insured. Damage is estimated to be $ 30,000.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by the Tri-Community FD Fire Marshal's Office, but is believed to be accidental.
