Etowah, Tenn. home total loss after fire Wednesday, says Fire Department

ETOWAH, Tenn. — A home in Etowah, Tennessee is a total loss after it was engulfed in flames Wednesday, according to the Etowah Rural Fire & Rescue Department.

The fire & rescue department says they received a tip Wednesday from an off duty fire lieutenant who saw a large column of smoke and went to investigate.

When fire crews arrived, the residence was found fully engulfed with flames, according to the department.

The department says the structure was a total loss.
