Driver strikes parked Chattanooga Fire truck Tuesday morning in Red Bank

The Chattanooga Fire Department (CFD) says a driver struck a parked Chattanooga Fire truck Tuesday morning in Red Bank. Two people were hurt.

The incident happened a little after 9:30 a.m. near the intersection of Browntown Road and Dayton Boulevard.

Witnesses say the CFD truck was parked, and it appears an Acura was driving erratically.

The CFD says the car clipped the side of the truck, from the pump panel to the front tire. Then, the driver proceeded to run into a Dodge Ram and a telephone pole.

Two people in the Acura were injured and taken to the hospital by HCEMS.

No CFD personnel were injured in the incident.

The fire truck did sustain damage.

Red Bank Police arrested and charged the driver, Amanda Humphreys.
