UPDATE: All lanes of Interstate 24 reopened at about 8:30 a.m.

An accident involving four vehicles, including an eighteen-wheeler that caught fire, closed Interstate 24 near McBrien Road Wednesday morning.

The 18-wheeler went up in flames shortly after the crash happened, and TDOT cameras captured it live.

Fire crews on the scene put the fire out quickly, and tell us, amazingly, no one was hurt.

The crash closed the interstate between Moore Road and McBrien Road, forcing drivers to take an alternate route.

The crash happened during a heavy downpour, and was one of many reported on area roadways as the sun came up and drivers headed to work on Tuesday.

One lane of the interstate opened at about 7:45 a.m.

That's about when Brandon Evans went live from the scene on Facebook:

Depend on us to keep you posted on this developing story.

Crews towed away the truck at about 8:00 a.m.
