Multiple law enforcement agencies assist in the arrest of a suspect in a rape and kidnapping case.

Around 2 a.m. Sunday, Chattanooga Police attempted to stop Demetrius Bailey's car.

Bailey did not stop which started a brief chase.

Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputies eventually stopped Bailey and took him into custody.

Both the Chattanooga PD and East Ridge PD assisted in the arrest.

Chattanooga police are searching for a man they say kidnapped and sexually assaulted someone.

Police first responded to reports of a sexual assault on Friday morning.

According to CPD, the victim offered Demetrius Bailey a ride in his car on Tuesday morning.

The victim told police he was then held at gunpoint and told to drive to a residence on 12th avenue where he was held captive until his escape Friday morning.

Police say the victim told them he was sexually assaulted during his captivity.

CPD now has warrants for Bailey for Aggravated Rape, Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Assault.

Chattanooga police have searched the city in an attempt to locate Bailey and say they will continue their efforts until he is taken into custody.

If you have any information about Bailey's whereabouts, you're asked to contact Chattanooga Police.

CPD says you can remain anonymous.
