Police identify 2 carjacking suspects arrested after crash near Hamilton Place mall
Chattanooga Police have identified 35-year-old Anthony Duckett and 25-year-old Emily Baggett as the suspects in a possible carjacking that led to a crash near Hamilton Place mall Wednesday evening.
A CPD officer responded to a call of a carjacking near the 6000 block of Cornelison Rd in Chattanooga Wednesday.
The officer saw the car fleeing the scene, and went after it.
The chase ended when the suspects in the 2005 Chevy Cobalt lost control and failed to slow down before hitting another car on the Shallowford Road exit of Interstate 75.
Duckett and Baggett were then taken into custody.
The victims in the other vehicle were treated for minor injuries on the scene.
Chattanooga Police (CPD) have arrested two suspects after a possible carjacking led to a crash on I-75 Northbound at the Shallowford Rd exit Wednesday evening.
CPD spokesman Rob Simmons says officers were called to the scene of a possible carjacking on Brainerd Road.
Simmons says officers in the area saw the car in question flee the scene, and police followed.
The pursuit ended on I-75 Northbound at the Shallowford Road exit when police say the suspects crashed the stolen vehicle into another car.
Viewer Jackie Errico shared video with us of the large police presence on the scene Wednesday evening.
Both suspects were taken into custody.
Simmons says two people in the other car suffered minor injuries.
