Investigators say 26-year-old Orlandas Gay was shot several times Tuesday night by 24-year-old Travoraus Sanchez Thompson.

Chattanooga Police spokesman Kyle Miller says just before 5:30 Tuesday night, officers were called to the 4900 block of Jeffery Lane.

There, they found Gay shot several times. Gay later died from his injuries at a local hospital.

Chattanooga Police spokesman Kyle Miller says investigators learned from witnesses that Gay had gotten into a fight with Judius Antonio Thompson that went from verbal to physical.
