Chattanooga has a new millionaire, thanks to the TN Lottery

February began with a bang for a lucky Chattanooga player, who won a $1,230,034 jackpot Wednesday night playing the in-state game Tennessee Cash.

Drawings are held three days a week for the game. Tickets cost a dollar.

So who won it? That's still a mystery. The Tennessee Lottery says no additional information about the winner is available until the prize is claimed.

Meanwhile, a billed filed by Tennessee legislators would make it easier to purchase lottery tickets. The bill authorizes the use of money orders, debit cards, and prepaid gift cards to purchase lottery tickets. Read more about that here.
