CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A Chattanooga Firefighter was honored Monday for saving a woman's life in September of 2017.
Captain Steve Everett and neighbors pulled a woman from her burning home on Judy's Lane. Her husband died in the fire.
Everett said the recognition was humbling, but "there's a whole lot of folks out here that work every day to keep everybody safe."
The award was presented an award by two Nascar Drivers, Ben Rhodes and Myatt Snider.
